Welcome to Chris W. Smith's Williamsburg Page!

In January of 1990, a rare blizzard paralyzed Tidewater, VA. The College of William and Mary was closed due to flooding, so I went exploring Colonial Williamsburg. After a friendly snowball tag match in the hedge maze behind the Governor's Palace, I snapped this award winning (thanks Fuji!) photo of the Great Hall.

Christ Church in Lancaster, VA on the Northern Neck is a historic church dating to 1735. Christopher Wren's (architect of The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg) incorporated Masonic principles in design of this Georgian structure. During the Easter Season, sunlight is focused upon the altar and during the vernal equinox, sunbeams highlight the grave of a founding parishoner.
